For the last couple of years there has been one dominant force in the smart phone wars. Of course, this phone is known as the iPhone. Every other cell phone company that has tried to compete with the iPhone has ended up failing very badly. Even when the phones would catch up as far as their technical sophistication went, Apple would then release a new revolutionary version of their phone. This same pattern has happened over and over again the past couple of years. Now there is a group of phones that have taken up the mantle to try and challenge the iPhone. These are phones that are based on the Android operating system. If there are any phones that are out on the market right now that can do it, these are the phones that can.

Some people are saying that it is not fair to judge the newer Android based phones against the older iPhone. That we should wait until the latest generation of iPhone is ready to be released. But if you want to buy a phone right now, these are the only stats that you have to go by. So this is how we must judge the phones as of right now. And as of right now, the specs on the Android phones are better. Especially with the newest phones, the Droid and the Nexus One. These phones were made especially to go after the iPhone market. They have made their screens bigger and are trying to compete with the user interface as well.
